Speed Possibly to Blame for Deadly Rollover Crash Near Laramie
The Wyoming Highway Patrol says speed may be to blame for a single-vehicle rollover crash near Laramie that left one person dead and another injured.
The crash happened around 11:27 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 near mile marker 7 on Wyoming 230, about five miles southwest of Laramie city limits.
According to a fatality crash summary, a Toyota pickup was headed westbound when the driver went off the right-hand side of the road and overcorrected, causing the pickup to trip and roll several times before coming to an uncontrolled rest in the ditch next to the eastbound lane.
The crash left 43-year-old Wisconsin resident Kyla Martin, who was not wearing a seat belt, dead and the other occupant injured.
It's unknown if Martin was the driver or the passenger.
