Driver Seriously Injured in Head-On Crash South of Laramie
The Wyoming Highway Patrol is investigating a head-on crash south of Laramie that left a driver seriously injured.
According to an agency Facebook post, the crash happened around 3:15 Sunday afternoon at milepost 403 on U.S. 287, about a mile south of the Port of Entry.
The patrol says the crash involved a passenger car and a semi and briefly blocked both directions of U.S. 287 resulting in traffic being rerouted.
"Fire/EMS units extricated and transported the (PC) driver to the hospital with serious injuries," the post reads. "The truck driver sustained no injuries."
The patrol says a felony amount of a controlled substance was found in the passenger car, which may have possibly contributed to the crash.
