City of Laramie Sends Out Guide For Clean Up After June Storm
The City of Laramie Recently made an announcement regarding cleaning the trees and shrubs which were damaged in town during the June snowstorm.
They ask that you please do not park cars or other equipment under large trees and to avoid walking or driving under trees which were covered in snow.
If there are trees on your property that have been damaged or have fallen into the street or public walkway, the city asks that you clear them out of the right of way if you are able to do so safely.
If you are not able to move them yourself, please make arrangements to have them removed.
If there are any utility lines including electrical, cable, or phone that are down due to tree limb breakage, please contact the utility provider (for electrical lines 1-877-508-5088).
To report non-emergent issues and downed limbs that are blocking traffic please call the dispatch non-emergency at 721-2526. In an emergency please call 911.
Smaller trees can have the snow gently brushed off limbs to avoid damage. Snowstorms while trees are in leaf can cause significant damage to trees. Limbs covering streets, alleys, and sidewalks can make transportation difficult. Please stay home and off the streets as City crews attempt to clear the right of ways for safe passage.
The City has set up branch and limb drop off at three locations These locations are:
- Aragon Softball Complex (off 22nd and Harney Streets)
- Optimist Park – East Parking Lot (off Spruce Street)
- LaBonte Park (off N. 5th Street)
Please look for the cones directing you where to drop off material. Be sure the material is stacked as tightly as possible.
