In the wake of a wildfire which was reported in Albany County on Sunday, the Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service is warning of "critical" fire danger across southeast Wyoming over the next few days.

The service issued the following statement early Monday:

''Red Flag Warnings will again be in effect today across parts of the Sierra Madre, Snowy, and Laramie Mountain Ranges. Elevated to high fire danger will exist as dry and windy conditions develop. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged as fires may spread rapidly. Please use extra precaution with campfires and hot machinery near fields and vegetation.''

The areas in bright pink on the map below have a "red flag warning'" in effect for fire danger on Monday.
