LARAMIE --   Bicycling in Laramie has 2 fantastic program options for youth sponsored by The Laramie Police Department and The Laramie Elks Lodge!

The Laramie Community Recreation Center is partnering with the Laramie Police Department and the Laramie Elks Lodge to offer a Bicycle Safety Clinic from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6 thru Friday, Aug. 9, for kids from 4 to 8 years old.

The clinic will provide an introduction to signals and safety as youth learn to ride a bicycle, and will be held in the NE corner of the Laramie Recreation Center parking lot, 920 Boulder Dr. nominal $5 fee is made possible through cash & in-kind sponsorships from the Laramie Elks Lodge and Laramie Police Department.

Each participant must provide their own bicycle, helmet, and closed-toe shoes. The nominal $5 fee is made possible through cash & in-kind sponsorships from the Laramie Elks Lodge and Laramie Police Department.

Bicycle in the Community safety program for kids 8 to 12 years old is set from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesday, Aug. 6 thru Friday, Aug. 9.

The Laramie Police Dept. is once-again partnering with the Laramie Community Recreation Center and the Elks Lodge to teach youth how to safely navigate the streets of Laramie. This class takes basic riding skills a little further as participants learn safety protocol, signals, and maneuvers. Bicyclists should be confident in their abilities and will ride to predetermined destinations throughout the city.

The clinic will be held at the Laramie Recreation Center in the NE corner of the Recreation Center parking lot, 920 Boulder Dr.
