Firefighters assigned to the Badger Creek Fire captured video of a moose playing in the water near the fire line.

In the video posted to the Badger Creek Fire Facebook page Wednesday, the moose can be seen splashing and playing in the water.

"They say, dance like no one is watching........Many animals and other organisms have evolved to cope with, and even thrive in the wake of a wildfire. Firefighters often see wildlife move back into a fire area within days of the fire," the post read.

Firefighters, who were conducting a meeting at the time, stopped and quietly watched the moose play from a safe distance.

The Badger Creek Fire is 20,357 acres and is 94 percent contained. All evacuation orders have been lifted and WYO 10 and WYO 230 are open. Fire officials are reminding motorists that there are still hazards in the area and to drive slowly.

There is a temporary flight restriction in place over the Badger Creek Fire, as daily air operations are still taking place in the area. Aircraft, including drones, cannot be flown over the fire as it will impede operations and could potentially endanger air crew.
