District officials say a precautionary lockdown was instituted at Star Valley High School and Lincoln County School District No. 2. That lockdown has since been lifted.

In an updated news release, the district says no specific threat has been validated and "it has been deemed safe to return to a normal schedule."

Law enforcement has been involved throughout the district, and authorities will continue to monitor the situation.

As a precaution, the district said shortly before 10 a.m., law enforcement will be visible at all Star Valley School buildings as a precaution.
