Ask The City: Road Kill

The Question:

There has been lots of road kill this year. Who cleans up these dead animals it seems like they stay on the road until they are part of the road.

“City staff usually picks up domestic animal road kill to try and identify the deceased. We have, on occasion, picked up wild animal carcasses on a complaint basis up to an antelope or parts of larger animals, but usually have Wyoming Game & Fish handle them. At times, the Wyoming Department of Transportation may pick up carcasses as well.”
