Why is there city permit parking east of the Civic Center but not west of it where all the events at the Civic Center occur?

The City's Response:

Residential City Permit Parking was implemented a number of years ago to assist with on street parking in areas within identified distances around the University of Wyoming campus.  As defined, individual residents can petition the City to establish a permit parking district within the three sectors.  If desired, residents west of the Civic Center could petition to establish a district as outlined in city ordinance.  All districts are created through the initiative of the residents.  For more information, please visit the City website or call telephone number 307-721-5226.
