Ashley Furniture Closes Store in Laramie & Holds Big Sale

In the last few weeks you might have seen advertisements that the Ashley Furniture Home Store in Laramie is holding a big sale. There have been cars driving up and down Grand Avenue, people out holding signs, etc... so I thought I would stop by the store and see what was going on this past weekend. Sadly the furniture will be going out of business in Laramie and we were told by Bob Wirth, the owner of the store, that they will close for good sometime this February although they are unsure of the exact date.

In the mean time they are trying to eliminate as much inventory as possible so that they do not have to move left-over items. This is good news if you happen to be in the market for some furniture or have just been toying with the idea for a while. We were not given exact numbers on the extent of discounts being offered, but I was quoted 50% off on an item I was interested in buying at the store. Bob Wirth mentioned that the discounts vary throughout the store but that everything is priced to move quickly and that they are making some incredible deals. If you are planning on checking out the store's going out of business sale, obviously the sooner you stop by the better as you might have a hard time finding what you want as the sale continues. Ashley Furniture is located at 320 S 5th Street and they are open 10 AM to 6 PM Monday through Saturday, and 12 Noon to 5PM on Sundays.

Laramie's Ashley Furniture Home Store first opened its doors back in 2005 and it is sad to see the store leave town. We were told that compared to other stores, the Ashley Furniture Home Store in Laramie is relatively small and that it was not big enough to showcase Ashley's full line of furniture, which contributed to the store closing. However this doesn't mean that you won't be able to purchase the popular line of furniture, especially if you already have part of a certain Ashley line. Everything from Laramie will consolidate into the Ashley Furniture Store in Cheyenne, which is a much bigger store that does make deliveries to Laramie three times a week. It's always sad to see a local store leave the community, but it is a great time to go furniture shopping in Laramie if you are in the market.
