On April 7, the City of Laramie adopted a resolution to establish the Ad Hoc Working Group for Police and Community (WGPC).

The purpose of this group is to consider Laramie’s municipal policing services and provide a body of recommendations to city leadership.

Currently, applications are being accepted for those who wish to serve on in this group. This requires a six-month commitment and all applicants must be residents of Laramie.

Along with this, there are other requirements for the group as well:

  • Six members without any special qualifications
  • Two members who are engaged in providing local social services
  • One retired or active law enforcement officer

Applications are available on the City's website.

Hard copies may be picked up from the City Manager's Office.
