Albany County Sheriff's Department announced today on their Facebook that as of March 18 at 5 pm, the office was closed to the public.

They explained this further on the Albany County website that they were closing due to COVID-19 concerns at the direction of Governor Mark Gordon and the Wyoming Department of Health.

The Offices of the County Clerk, County Treasurer, County Assessor, Planning, GIS, Road and Bridge, and Human Resources will only be providing services through mail, email, and telephone.

However, the Albany County Clerk of District Court, the County Attorney’s Office, and Albany County Public Health will remain open to the public but prefer a prior appointment.

The Albany County Sheriff will be operating with limited services.
