Albany County Officials have announced a series of public meetings on bills in the upcoming session of the Wyoming Legislature.

Lawmakers will be meeting in a 20-day budget session in Cheyenne starting on February 12.

Non-budget items can be considered but need a 2/3 majority vote for introduction. Even so, there has been a trend in recent years of introducing more non-budget bills during budget sessions.

The meetings will focus on legislation dealing with property taxes, elections, and the county budget. The first such meeting will be held on January 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m at the Albany County Fairgrounds at 3510 South 3rd Street in Laramie.

The second meeting will be held on January from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Centennial Valley Library at 27 2nd Street in Centennial. A third meeting will be held on January 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Albany County Public Library at 310 South 8th Street in Laramie. The fourth and final meeting is slated for January 31 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Rock River Town Hall at 321 Avenue D in Rock River.

Historic Wyoming Hotels

Wyoming's once wild west also incorporated a little luxury. Several fine hotels dotted the state, along trade routes and railroad lines. They have rich histories, and of course, ghost legends.
