The final concert for the University of Wyoming Department of Theatre and Dance 2011-2012 season will feature new works of contemporary ballet, jazz, and modern dance works in, "The Unknown Exposed."

The show will run March 1 through the 3 with 7:30 p.m. performances at the UW Arts & Sciences Auditorium and will showcase the department’s finest dancers and original works by dance faculty Lawrence Jackson, Jennifer Deckert, and Margaret Wilson, with additional works by Maurice Watson and André Megerdichian.

The concert will be presented in two halves with the first half displaying Jackson’s contemporary dance piece, “Exurgency,” Watson's jazz and contemporary piece "Boundaries," and Wilson's 'enscribing space.' Closing out the first half of the concert is guest artist Megerdichian’s contemporary modern dance, “Game of Thorns.”

The second half of the concert features two works by dance faculty member Jennifer Deckert. “Cicorium Intybus,” a contemporary ballet piece set to the music of Dvorak and a contemporary trio, "Footfalls Echo," set to the music of Sigur Ros.

The concert ends with a premiere of Lawrence Jackson’s new contemporary piece “Night Run,” set to the music of Rene Aubry and Karl Jenkins.
