UNIVERSITY OF WYOMING PRESS RELEASE:

The Singing Statesmen  --  the University of Wyoming’s all-male chorus -- will perform in Newcastle, Casper and Thermopolis March 2-4.

The 70-member group brings a rich tradition of choral singing with a traditional repertoire as well as music unique to the university, state and region.

“What brings these talented young men together is the enjoyment of making music and the special camaraderie that is such an important part of the choral singing experience,” says Associate Professor Nicole Lamartine, the group’s choral director.

All performances are free and open to the public. The tour schedule:

  • Sunday, March 2, 7 p.m., Newcastle High School auditorium;
  • Monday March 3, 7 p.m., Kelly Walsh High School, Casper;
  • Tuesday, March 4, 7 p.m., Thermopolis High School auditorium.
