Centennial

Hope to see you all in Centennial, this coming Saturday, for the 2nd Annual Our Home Benefit Music Festival. Last year (meaning you, me, and everyone else who attended) raised $4,000, which built a home for 38 children in Kerala, India. This year, all proceeds will go toward building a school for the 200+ children in their mountain village.

Highway 130 is CLOSED around mile marker 56 due to a flash flood overnight that washed out part of the road. That's in Carbon County, beyond Lake Marie. If you have plans to go to Saratoga, you'll have to go all the way around on Highway 230.

The Bear Tree Tavern and Cafe conveniently located in uptown Centennial, Wyoming is a really cool place to be in the summer. They have great food and beers on tap as well as an outdoor concert stage for enjoying  summer bands.  So make plans to head out to Centennial for one or more of their summer Events...

Centennial is a happening place! They have meetings, yoga classes and the Dead Dog Bike race just to name a few. Volunteer opportunities and fun events are planed all summer long. The Centennial Valley Volunteer Fire Department is having a open house and fund raiser on June 18th at noon until 3pm at the Centennial Fire Station. This year promises to bring record flood levels with the excess of snow in the mountains so the Fire Department is anticipating the flood of 2011 and getting people together to talk about the upcoming flood season.
