Cheers to 100 Years this Week as the University of Wyoming celebrates 100 years of homecoming in the Gem City.

Monday, Sept. 25

Golden Boot Games Begin
The Golden Boot Competition begins today for UW folks and Laramie businesses. UW groups and Laramie businesses will be decorating in competition for the $100 prize. UW students will be searching for two horseshoes each day hidden on campus, and prepping for the other Boot games and activities this week.

Thursday, Sept. 28

Tribute to Steamboat
Fun and rodeo! Wheelbarrow racing, a calf scramble, and swing dancing tops off the evening. Join Pokes fans for an evening of Wyoming-style celebration.  

Where: Hansen Arena, 306 WY 230
When: BBQ begins at 5 p.m.; Showdeo at 6 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 29

Homecoming Check-In
Check in to check out the festivities going on at the Gateway Center, enjoy refreshments, and get a picture in front of the Boot Wall. 

When: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Legacy Lunch
A new tradition celebrating past and present UW families. Current students and their families, 1973 graduates, and 50th Club Members enjoy lunch and familial Poke Pride. 

Where: Union Ballroom
When: 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Homecoming Happy Hour
Enjoy some patio beers and live music with Bond’s Brewing.

Where: Downtown Hollyhock Commons (2nd & Custer)
When: 3 p.m.; music begins at 6 p.m.

Saturday, Sep. 30

Cowboy Coffee
Coffee and grab-n-go breakfast before the game. Get there early and get a free UW Homecoming mug.

Where: Ivinson between 10th & 11th Streets
When: 7:30-0:30 a.m. 

Homecoming Parade
Poke Pride, entertainment, and fun for the kids at the annual parade.

Where: Parade begins at Grand Ave. & 15th St. and will travel to 2nd St., across to Ivinson, and back to 9th St.
When: Starts at 9:30 a.m.

Wyoming Cowboys vs. New Mexico Lobos at 2 p.m.
If you want to sit indoors but not at home, here are some watching suggestions:

Enjoy a cold one while watching the game on one of Mully’s almost dozen TVs, or play a game of pool while enjoying some pigskin.
