Are you ready to rumble? The Naughty Pines Derby Dames became Wyoming's first resurrected roller derby league in January, 2009.  If you have not been able to come out to the Laramie Ice and Event Center you need to check out the group of ladies on the rink. Roller Derby is  back, and better than ever so get a baby sitter and enjoy a evening in Laramie.

Although we started as a group of ladies that simply wanted a place to have fun, derby style, we quickly began to realize that we could achieve much more. Thanks to the strong community support we have received, we now envision that the NPDD will serve both as a competitive league as well as a corporation that promotes 1) the health and high self-esteem of women; 2) the involvement of others in the community in our sport and 3) donations to other nonprofit funds and a future roller skate rink for Laramie.

Over the 3 years that we have operated, we have had many types of ladies skate in our bouts (competitions). Among the diversity of professions, we have had girls fresh out of high school, college students, professors, nurses, servers, a chef, multiple business owners, etc. Some of our ladies skate REALLY fast, some hit hard and others do both. Regardless of who we are and where we came from, each of us LOVES roller derby, bruises and all, and we are thankful that we are able to make the NPDD happen.

The diversity of athletic abilities as well as the rigorous training that we endure (two hour practices, three times a week) has hopefully set the stage for another winning season. With competitions set against Cheyenne, Fort Collins, Denver and Casper, there is a lot of excitement set for this summer. We hope that you will come to our first bout of the season this April 30th at the Laramie Ice and Event Center.
