Memorial Day gives us an opportunity each year to remember those who died in active military service. That chance will be this upcoming Monday.

There will be a Memorial Day Service Program at four sites in Laramie and Albany County on May 28, 2018. These are presented by the American Legion Husted-Pendleton Post 14 and Auxiliary, as well as the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2221 and Auxiliary.

The weekend of activities begins Saturday, May 26 at 8 a.m. with the placing of over 1,700 American flags at Greenhill Cemetery. Sunday, May 27 features a breakfast at the VFW located at 2142 E. Garfield St. from 8-to-11 a.m.
