Additional Information

Issues to be addressed include the effects of the influx of “soft” money in politics since the U.S. Supreme Court’s “Citizens United” decision in 2010, as well as consideration of ways of regulating its uses. The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League of Women Voters was founded in 1920 during the convention of the National American Woman Suffrage Association. Snacks will be served; drinks can be ordered. There will be an open discussion format and no RSVPs are required. For more information, contact Amy Williamson at akwwy@hotmail.com or call 307-745-4586. Learn more about the League of Women Voters at http://lwv.org. Men are welcome.
