Additional Information

The Friends of the Albany County Public Library will hold their annual spring sale Tuesday, February 27 - Saturday, March 3, 2018. The Friends of the Library sales differ from other used book sales you may have attended as items are arranged on shelves as in a regular bookstore or library. The sale includes books, art prints, vinyl, CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, and more. This allows for easy viewing, and we even provide a map of genre locations. We have a large number of classics and books in a variety of languages. Some genres have moved, so please check the map for your favorites.

The sale is held in the basement of the Albany County Public Library located at 310 S. Eighth Street - on the corner of Eighth Street and Grand Avenue. The hours of the sale are:

Tuesday, February 27, 3:30pm - 6:30pm - members only
Wednesday, February 28, 10:00am - 6:30pm
Thursday, March 1, 10:00am - 6:30pm
Friday, March 2, 1:00pm - 5:30pm - 50% off day
Saturday, March 3, 1:00pm - 4:30pm - bag day: medium $7, large $10

Memberships may be purchased at the library’s circulation desk or at the sale, including members only day. Annual memberships are $10 per person or $15 per household.

The Friends of the Albany County Public Library is a non-profit organization that provides direct financial assistance to the library to assist in funding new materials. We appreciate the many generous donations from the community, as well as books removed from the county and school library collections. Visit us at albanycountylibrary.org/friends or like us on Facebook at facebook.com/ACPLBookSale.

We are always in need of volunteers, both to work preparing items for sale and to work the sales desk during the sales. If you are interested, please contact us at acplbooksale@gmail.com.
