A new business has opened its doors in downtown Laramie.

Heritage Foods, which is located at 216 Grand Avenue, looks to provide healthy prepared to-go meals at an affordable price.

"A lot of food that's accessible and affordable is not good for you" said Heritage Foods President Jeff Parkins.

The started exploring potential products and delivery methods back in March, and has spent most of its first 8 months working on their recipes, something Parkins has described as their "testing and development".

All of the meals offered through Heritage Foods are made with recipes following what Parkins refers to as the "four fundamentals", which include: low glycemic load, no damaged fats, healthy proteins, and low pesticide residue fruits and vegetables.

"Our approach is stringent in terms of food recipes but it allows people with many different nutritional needs to enjoy our meals." added Parkins.

As part of its expansion in Laramie, Heritage Foods is also offering breakfast items, including a bison sausage bowl, a veggie frittata, and a portabella quiche. The company is also exploring the idea of pre-ordered pickups and homes subscription delivery.

In addition to their storefront in downtown Laramie, the store has a self-serve kiosk at Crossfit 7220. For more information, please visit the store or email help@heritagefoods.co.
