The Wyoming Main Street program has announced Laramie leads the state in new business gains for a second year in a row.

In 2013 Laramie gained 9 new businesses and 33 jobs.  In 2012, Laramie gained 13 new businesses and 63 jobs.

Some of the businesses include a spa, ice cream parlor, brewery, burger joint, real estate company, bakery, accountant, an e-cigarettes shop, and a flooring and remodeling showroom.

Laramie led the state for a third year in a row in renovation projects made by private property owners within downtown.  In 2012 42 individual improvement projects were made, in 2013, 46 were made.

With every dollar spent by the Laramie Main Street Alliance in 2013, another $22.02 was reinvested through private renovation projects and for public improvement projects.
