SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming lawmakers will continue discussing how to penalize possessing edible forms of marijuana.

The Legislature has tried and failed for two years in a row to set specific penalties for food items containing THC, the intoxicating chemical in marijuana.

The Legislature's Joint Judiciary Committee plans to take up the issue again Tuesday and Wednesday in a meeting in Sheridan.

The biggest problem is determining how much THC a product contains. Testing for THC is fairly expensive and time-consuming.

The committee also plans to discuss penalties for stalking, domestic violence and sexual assaults, and review the effectiveness of probation and parole.
