
Wyoming Travel Warnings Cover Most of State
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Much of central, east-central and southern Wyoming is being hit by a snowstorm that has closed highways and schools.
The National Weather Service has posted a winter storm warning for areas that include Cheyenne, Casper, Laramie, Riverton, Rock Springs and Sheridan. A blizzard warning was posted for parts of south-central Wyoming, including Rawlins.
Up to a foot of snow is possible in many areas.
A 200-mile stretch of Interstate 80 between Rock Springs and Laramie was closed Thursday morning, and no unnecessary travel was advised on a 120-mile stretch of I-25 between Casper and Chugwater.
