We have another contender for the title of Wyoming's dumbest criminal. Police in Gillette busted a shoplifter who filled out a job application at the Sportsman's Warehouse last week, then tried to steal several items on his way out.

The suspect had allegedly stolen a pair of sunglasses and bullets from the store earlier in the day, according to the Gillette News Record.  He returned to the store several hours later, asked to fill out a job application, then attempted to leave the store with two more pairs of sunglasses.

The man was arrested and cited for theft. As for the job application, a criminal conviction would likely prevent him from being hired by the store.
