This is the final week of the regular season in the Wyoming High School cross-country racing season.

Next week will be the conference meets, and then in two weekends, it’s the state championships in Ethete.

The Week 7 schedule provides the final tune-ups before the postseason.

Casper, Cheyenne, Gillette, Glenrock, Powell, and Rock Springs have a cross-country meet this week. All but two teams will be competing in the state.

Out-of-State Events:

Bob Conley Invitational at Portneuf Wellness Complex in Pocatello, ID – Jackson, Star Valley + 45 Idaho teams.

Jackson's Madison Antonino won the Girls' Varsity A Division at 18:07.7. The Star Valley boys placed 3rd in the Boys' A Divison. Habmatu Wetzel finished 2nd in the A Division at 16:08.7.

Friday, Oct. 7:

Casper Glen Legler Invitational at Paradise Valley G.C. – Kelly Walsh, Moorcroft, Natrona County, Wright, Wyoming Indian.

Ally Wheeler of the NC won the girls' race and helped NC to perfect score and the team title. Jackson Dutcher of NC won the boys' race and helped NC to the team crown. 

Glenrock Invitational at the Glenrock G.C.– Big Horn, Douglas, Glenrock, Newcastle, Torrington.

Aspen Bloom of Newcastle won the girls' race. Ayden Loya from Torrington won the boys' race.

Leroy Sprague Invite at Prairie View G.C. in Cheyenne – Burns/Pine Bluffs, Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Cheyenne South, Laramie, Rawlins, Rock River, Saratoga/Encampment, Wheatland.

Central's Sydney Morrell and Bridger Brokaw won the individual races. Central also swept the varsity team titles. Our apologies, the links went awry after an update to the results, but those have been fixed.

Pinnacle Bank Powell Invitational at Powell G.C. – Cody, Lander, Lovell, Powell, Riverton, Rocky Mountain/Burlington, St. Stephens, Thermopolis, Tongue River, Wind River, Worland.

Ameya Eddy from Lander won the girls' race. Kaden Chatfield of Riverton won the boys' race. Cody swept the team titles.

Rock Springs Invitational at White Mountain G.C. – Green River, Lyman, Mountain View, Rock Springs + Manila, UT.

Karly Sabey of Lyman and Owen Burnett of Mountain View won the races. The Green River girls and Mountain View boys captured the team titles.

Wayne Chaney Invite at the Camplex in Gillette – Buffalo, Campbell County, Moorcroft, Sheridan, Sundance, Thunder Basin + Rapid City (SD) Central.

Kendra Jensen of Campbell County won the girls' race. Zach Friese of Buffalo took 1st in the boys' division. The Campbell County girls and Buffalo boys won the team crowns.
