While winter weather which dropped snow on parts of southeast Wyoming Wednesday night and Thursday is expected to ease through the remainder of today (Thursday, Nov. 28), another round is expected in parts of the state starting again on Friday night.

The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service posted this statement on their website on Thursday morning:

"Wintry weather can be expected across a large part of the area this weekend. Mountain snow will persist through Sunday, with an extended period of moderate snow expected to develop across east central Wyoming into the northern Nebraska Panhandle from Friday night through early Sunday. Winter Storm Watches & Winter Weather Advisories are in effect. If you have travel plans this weekend, please monitor the forecast over the next day or two and adjust accordingly. Here’s our latest thinking on snowfall totals across the area, mainly during the Friday night – Sunday morning time frame. This does not include any snow that is currently falling early this (Thursday) morning."
