Winter Storm Closes Parts of I-80 in Southern Wyoming
Portions of Interstate 80 in southern Wyoming closed due to a snowstorm making its way across the state Sunday night.
I-80 from Laramie to Rawlins is closed in both directions as of 10:05 p.m. Sunday. According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation, I-80 will remain closed until after 11 a.m. Monday.
I-80 westbound between Laramie and Cheyenne is closed due to winter conditions as of 7 a.m. Monday morning. No estimated opening time was given.
In southwestern Wyoming, I-80 is shut down in both directions from Evanston to Lyman, and was scheduled to remain closed until at least 2:30 a.m. Monday.
U.S. 30/287 from Laramie, through Medicine Bow to I-80 at Walcott Junction was also closed as of 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
From Laramie to Rock River, WYDOT estimated U.S. 30/287 would be closed until at least 11:10 a.m. Monday.
Interstates 25 and 90 were open as of 10:30 p.m., with snowfall report in some areas along with strong winds and some slick areas.
