The 2016 Albany County Toys for Tots campaign is underway, and you’ll be able to help out at four different University of Wyoming sporting events this weekend.

The University of Wyoming Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Laramie Detachment #777 of the Marine Corps League will be collecting new, unwrapped toys and accepting monetary contributions Saturday and Sunday.

Toys for Tots will have a booth located in Tailgate Alley on the northeast side of War Memorial Stadium starting at 11 a.m. Saturday before the Wyoming-San Diego State game. There will also be collection points at gates entering the stadium. Also Saturday, SAAC will be taking toys and donations prior to the men’s basketball game at 7 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium.

Two more opportunities take place Sunday, Nov. 20 at the women’s basketball game at 1 p.m. and the wrestling match at 3:30 p.m.

Toys will need to be new and unwrapped. Monetary donations can be made with cash or check. Checks are payable to: Marine Toys for Tots Foundation.

All toys and money donated will remain in Albany County. Last year the program raised over $4,000 for families in Albany County.
