UW Offers Grade School Science Project

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The University of Wyoming is participating in a project that offers students and teachers a way to better study and understand water.

UW and several universities in Utah are part of the CI-Water Project, which has been involved with the creation of several water science toolboxes.

Beth Cable is project coordinator for Wyoming's National Science Foundation Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research office.

Cable tells the Asssociated Press that with water resources limited in Wyoming it seems a natural fit to educate and inform students and teachers and the public in general about water research.

The project was funded through a larger, three-year grant for a regional research project from the National Science Foundation.
