Wyoming sophomore Trey Woods is leaving the football program. The announcement was confirmed by head coach Craig Bohl Thursday.

Woods began his career as a linebacker at UW. He was moved to running back as a freshman in 2017 and led the Pokes with 493 yards rushing and scored two touchdowns. Woods was moved to defensive end during fall camp in 2018. He played in one game at New Mexico State and made one tackle, which was a sack.

Bohl said in a release from the university, “We wish Trey (Woods) all the best in his future, and we appreciate his contributions to our football program over the past two seasons.”

Wood is from North Bend, Oregon. Here was his Instagram post announcing his decision Wednesday.
