Extremely windy conditions across southeast Wyoming have led to the imposition of travel restrictions on interstates 25 and 80.

That's according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation [WYDOT] road and travel conditions website.

As of 11:40 am. Interstate 25 was closed to light, high profile vehicles between Cheyenne and Wheatland. That stretch of O-25 also carried an 'extreme blow over risk" warning, according to the website.

The same restrictions were in effect between Laramie and Elk Mountain on Interstate 80, and strong winds were being reported on the portion of I-80 between the Nebraska state line and Rawlins.
