The improvisational troupe who dubbed themselves "This Just In" will be performing two shows at the UW Union Ballroom at 7:00 and 9:00 on Thursday October 25th.  The show is free and open to the public

To the uninitiated, 'This Just In' was the brain child of a UW student who started the improv group as part of a school project.  That was four years ago.  Now, the troupe is still going and tries to organize performances at least a few times a month.  Kim Lockhart is the troupe's current director, she says that people can expect a fun night, and perhaps a familiar format.  "It's a lot like what you see on 'Whose Line is it Anyway.'  We have games that we play where we make up scenes based on audience suggestions."

Lockhart goes on to say that the troupe sometimes does a long form style of improvisation where a member of the audience will tell a lengthy story, and many of the scenes and games the troupe plays will be based on that one story.  The troupe also does short form where the games and scenes can switch and vary at an almost break-neck pace.

On top of free shows at the University, the troupe has also performed in bars and at private parties.
