This Josh Allen Meme Is Breaking The Internet Right Now
For some of us, Twitter is nothing more than a convenient way to get breaking news, an easy way to distract ourselves at work, or a prime opportunity to get into a raging argument with a total stranger.
But occasionally and thankfully for us, Twitter has some occasional gems. A favorite meme of Bills fans around the world has now been given a new life thanks to one clever Twitter user looking for some likes.
In week three of the 2018-2019 regular season, the Bills were on the road taking on the Minnesota Vikings. With two minutes to go in the bottom of the first quarter, Josh Allen, with no receivers open and out of options, charged through the middle and soared over Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr to pick up the first down. It's a meme that will live through the ages, but it's recently sparked some new creativity in Internet Bills fans.
User @TJDMCR tweeted out a still photo of that epic moment when Allen was in mid-air, and captioned it, “For every 100 likes I will make Josh Allen jump higher.”
As if that wasn’t enough to make you LOL, Bills fans all over Twitter took the ball and ran with it (pun absolutely intended). Soon, all hell broke loose and Bills Mafia took over the Internet to showcase their photoshop skills, proving they really are the greatest and most hilarious fans in the entire world.
It probably wasn’t the first time we’ve seen our darling QB dash over the defense, and it certainly wasn’t and won’t be the last - but thanks to this new breath of fresh air on this old meme, this particular leap is definitely on its way to becoming the most iconic.
