Funding covers tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and other education expenses while students also receive a free laptop.

UW President Laurie Nichols told the trustees that administrators will bring forth concrete recommendations at the board’s May meeting.

All three scholarships require an associate's degree and at least a 3.4 grade-point average.

Since the program started in 2008, more than 6,200 brown-and-gold license plates have been sold to Wyoming motorists, generating $624,000 for scholarships that have helped dozens of students attend the University of Wyoming.
