ACSD No.1 has appointed a new principal for the Laramie junior high school and is making progress on filling other vacant positions.

The position of LHS principal is not the only spot the school district needs to fill. Kern’s move to principal will leave vacant his previous assistant principal position, two of which are currently unfilled.

Laramie High School Principal Stacy Bush released a statement this afternoon that she read to students and staff of Laramie High school on Jan. 1 announcing her resignation.

Yennie said the top priority is making an effective transition and that the school district still has a lot of work to do.
