The Laramie Rotarian Duck Wranglers got 2500 rubber ducks ready to float for Saturday’s 15th annual Rubber Duck Race at Laramie's Optimist Park.

On Friday, the fenced off-leash area for large dogs at Optimist Park will be aerated by Parks and Recreation staff.  During this process, the off-leash area that is friendly to small dogs will be open to large dogs as well. Should owners of large dogs find aeration equipment in the large-dog-friendly off-leash area, they may use the fenced area for small dogs instead...

A portion of the large dog friendly off-leash fenced area at Optimist Park will be closed from August 3rd to August 21st for re-seeding as well as additional fencing to be installed around the large trees. This closure will also accommodate the addition of a new bench and a dog drinking fountain...

All of the trail has reopened, with the exception of the portion of the trail that is under the Snowy Range Bridge, which remains closed due to high water.
