“Developing countries desperately need affordable and reliable energy. Instead of promoting valuable energy projects, the World Bank continues to boycott coal power generation, oil and gas production and nuclear energy projects. This bill will force the hand of the World Bank and any financial institutions that choose to play politics with the lives of those dependent on these critical energy projects" says Senator John Barrasso.
“It has been a long wait, but Wyoming is thrilled to finally see this innovative answer to the disposal needs of inert decommissioned wind turbine materials approved,” stated Todd Parfitt, Wyoming’s Director of the WDEQ.
The mining industry, wholesale trade, and government payroll jobs were still lagging, but employment in professional & business services had already surpassed the pre-COVID level by approximately 1,400 jobs.
