Seniors Aubrey Vandiver and Hillary Carlson combined for 46 points to propel the Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team past the Portland State Vikings, 79-44, in the first round of the WNIT on Wednesday night in the Arena-Auditorium.

The Mountain West Conference (MWC) announced its 2010-11 men's and women's basketball awards Monday. Six University of Wyoming athletes earned recognition with the highest honor going to Cowgirl senior Aubrey Vandiver who was chosen as the MWC Women's Player of the Year.

The four senior players on the Wyoming Cowgirl basketball team were honored before the final regular season game in Laramie on Saturday, March 5.
