Eads was in the Wyoming Medical Center for treatment from early Sunday until Wednesday afternoon.

A report of a drunken driver in Cheyenne eventually led to the alleged driver suffering a self-inflicted wound and being arrested on Thursday afternoon. Some vehicles were struck as the person drove through the city.

The drug case resulted from an ongoing joint investigation conducted by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

One defendant, Andrew Jivelekas, fraudulently obtained unemployment benefits by inventing a sham company and filing false quarterly reports.

According to the affidavit, dispatch told the responding officers that Beck was intoxicated, angry and holding a pistol.
