Not everyone agrees it's a good idea.

According to new research, Wyoming has the worst broadband coverage in America, and neighboring states Idaho and Montana are not much better.

The commission on Friday extended the deadline to Sept. 2. Tribes had sought more time because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Many more Americans simply can't afford it.

WiFi coverage could eventually extend to other developed areas such as Norris, Madison and Bechler for the use of park administration and employees.

Officials say service will be expanded in seven counties including Albany, Big Horn, Niobrara, Park, Platte, Sublette, and Uinta.

Several senators argued against the bill, saying it would do little to boost rural internet service.

Neighborly, a non-profit group, aims to connect communities with capital for public projects like schools, libraries, and community broadband networks.
