The Laramie American Legion Baseball program is sponsoring the first annual Swing Hard Coaches Clinic this Saturday and Sunday. The two-day clinic is open to anyone interested in attending.

This baseball coaches clinic is suitable for all levels of youth baseball, and features classroom instruction, demonstrations and a teaching session with players that will cover the disciplines of hitting, fielding and throwing.

Saturday kicks off with classroom instruction from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Rochelle Athletics Center War Room. Then from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. various demonstrations at the University of Wyoming Indoor Practice Facility (IPF) will be provided.

It all concludes Sunday with participants of the clinic running through a teaching session that involves players from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the 9th Street baseball facility out by the Laramie Landfill.

Former Wyoming baseball coach Jim Jones will conduct the clinic.

The cost for the Swing Hard Coaches Clinic is $50. Fees can be paid on the Laramie Legion Baseball website or at the door. Registration in the War Room will start at 9 a.m. Saturday.
