Study Says Wednesday Is The Worst Day To Buy Gas In Wyoming

Gas stations typically raise prices on weekends to cash in on family road trips, but here in Wyoming, Wednesday is the worst day to fill up.

Gas Buddy compared prices at the pump in all 50 states and discovered that Monday is the cheapest day to get gas in 30 of them, including Wyoming. The study noted that gas prices are at the lowest on Monday mornings.

Wyoming is one of four states with higher gas prices on Wednesdays. Saturday is the most expensive day in 16 states, Sunday is the worst day to fill up in 12 states, with Friday claiming the top spot in 10 states.

Friday at 5 p.m. is also the busiest time for gas stations, according to the study, which claims Wyoming drivers can save an average of $30 per year by filling up on Mondays and avoiding Wednesdays.
