Street Work-Ask the City

Question:

When can the city's street department start sweeping up and repainting streets in Laramie? It's starting to get hard to drive at night because you can't tell what lane you're in.

Answer:

"Weather permitting, city street sweepers are cleaning streets on a weekly basis, it just takes time to get through all the routes. As for pavement markings, this task is on hold until we are past freezing temperatures. If the pavement is too cold, the applied paint will not properly adhere and can freeze, resulting in a waste of resources. As soon as the weather allows, the Streets department will begin repainting lines."
