After two days of competition outside of Pinedale, the Laramie High School Nordic Ski teams finished third and fourth at the state championships.

The Laramie Plainsmen took third place with a total of 58 points. Jackson ran away with the team crown with 178 points. Natrona was second with 75.

Freshman Liam McInroy was the top finisher in sixth place during last Friday's 10km freestyle. Fellow freshman Albert Steiner was close behind in ninth.

In Saturday's 5km classic race sophomore Lucas Thorsness led the team in 10th place. Steiner came in 11th.

The Laramie Lady Plainsmen were fourth as a team with 36 points. Jackson also won the girls team title with 160 points. Natrona and Kelly Walsh came in second and third with 122 and 73 team points, respectively.

The LHS girls were led by sophomore Hailey Schmidt in both races. She took ninth in Friday's freestyle race and was 13th in the classic race last Saturday.
