Source Gas Franchise Agreement to be Reviewed
The distribution franchise agreement between Source Gas and the City of Laramie for the distribution of natural gas is up for renegotiation.
The agreement is for 25 years and includes an opportunity for the terms to be renegotiated every five years; the last time they were renegotiated was in 2010.
There will be three ordinance readings as well as a public forum and a public hearing. The City of Laramie is encouraging public input at each of these events:
- First Reading of the Ordinance– Tuesday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m.
City Hall, Council Chambers
- Public Forum– Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 6 p.m.
Fire Station #3, 2374 Jefferson St.
- Public Hearing before City Council– Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m.

- Second Reading of the Ordinance– Tuesday, Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m.

- Third and Final Reading of the Ordinance– Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m.
