UPDATE 2:16 P.M. - The National Weather Service has canceled the second severe thunderstorm warning issued at 1:42 p.m.

A second severe thunderstorm warning for Albany County has been issued by the National Weather Service.

The first came at 12:47 p.m. in a radar-indicated threat to eastern Albany County with a severe thunderstorm located near Rock River and north of Bosler and tracking southeast at 15 miles per hour. That was set to last until 1:30 p.m.

At 1:42 p.m., another severe thunderstorm warning came from the National Weather Service out of Cheyenne and is in effect until 2:30 p.m. for Albany and Laramie counties. The storm was located near Baldy Peak, about 17 miles northeast of Laramie and moving east at 15 miles per hour. Sixty miles per hour winds and quarter size hail are expected with the storm.

* At 142 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Baldy Peak,
  or 17 miles northeast of Laramie, moving east at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Iron Mountain and Baldy Peak.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building. Stay
away from windows.
