The search for a boy missing since Sunday afternoon continued into Tuesday.

An Army National Guard Blackhawk helicopter and crew have joined the search for 16-year-old Joseph Peterson who left his home at roughly noon Sunday.

Ellis said Peterson is autistic and does not problem-solve at an age-appropriate level.

Several local, statewide and federal agencies are assisting with the search.

Peterson is 5'9" and weighs roughly 120 lbs.

Crews are using forward-looking infrared technology to assist in the search.
