Students are counting down to summer break, and parents are wondering what to do with two and a half months of that freedom. With one week of school left, it’s time to find opportunities to keep children and teens engaged, safe, supervised, and having fun. Laramie offers a plethora of options for all age ranges.  

Adventure Kids Summer Camp

The Laramie Recreation Center offers a full-day summer-long camp for students entering 1st grade through 6th grade. They offer field trips, water activities, movies, and many other fun activities.

Laramie Educational Afterschool Facility 

LEAF is a summer camp focusing on outdoor engagement and environmental learning. Campers will listen to guest speakers, go on field trips, attend movies, and experience the outdoors in many ways.

Library Activities 

The Albany County Public Library offers a range of daily activities for babies through teens. Activities range from books, STEM, legos, and social outings and art activities.

UW Camps:

Early Language Play Camp

A camp for preschoolers emphasizing early language and social skills. The group will meet twice a week, Monday-Thursday.

UW Summer Art Camp

The University of Wyoming Art Museum is hosting a 3-session, week-long, half-day art camp for ages 6-14.

FCA Power Camp 

For students going into 3rd grade through 6th grade, Fellowship of Christian Athletes is holding a sports camp at Linford and Kiwanis. Football, volleyball, soccer, and basketball sessions are offered. Snacks and lunch will be served.

Mega Sports Camp 

The first week of summer break is the week New Life Church offers a week-long sports camp for students entering kindergarten through 5th grade. Soccer, basketball, baseball, and cheer and dance opportunities are offered. Campers are also given a snack.
